In addition to enhancing trade and strengthening regional integration, the project will contribute to poverty reduction in both countries by increasing access to markets and social services for the surrounding areas, and communities, and by empowering women and other disadvantaged groups through adequate roadside socio-economic infrastructure and services.

Work Description: Feasibility, including a technical study, a socio-economic and an environmental study of Edea-Kribi (Lot 1), Douala-Limbe (Lot 2) railway lines: The technical study is to analyse several development variants of the railway lines, and propose to stakeholders a solution on the basis of a multi-criteria analysis, that will then be subject to validation by the Railway Commission Cameroon – Chad.
